We know how to fight back: Bevan

Australian One-day specialist Michael Bevan has lauded the superb performance of VVS Laxman in the second Test and said: "No team in the world could have stopped him in the second Test at Kolkata."

Bevan, who arrived here late on Sunday night along with Darren Lehmann and Ian Harvey to join the team for the One-day series, told reporters that Australia performance at Kolkata left a bad feeling in the mouth.

However, full credit should be given to the Indians for coming back and winning the Test, he said.

"There is no doubt the Indians are mentally strong after the win but the Australians know how to come back from difficult situations," he added.

The prolific scorer in the limited-overs cricket, with an impressive average of 56.26 in 154 games, said all-rounder Andrew Symonds, who injured his shoulder while packing his bags for the Indian tour, and left-arm seamer Nathan Bracken, who lost his passport at the last minute, would join the Aussie team later at Chennai.

Langer, Lehmann and Harvey left for Chennai to join the Australian team, which is playing the third Test match against India.

Lehmann, who was here in the Test squad last time around, said he was looking forward to the One-day series while Harvey said he had heard a lot about India and was looking forward to playing more for Australia
